Clive Lewis recently introduced a private members bill to overhaul the management of water in the UK. He has been the most active backbench MP on the environment, working alongside Caroline Lucas for much of the last parliament.Among his other activities he introduced the Green New Deal legislation into Parliament; served on the Parliament’s Environmental Audit Committee from 2022 and launched a petition to bring water into public ownership with MIliband. Constituents also report he is a kind and tireless MP helping them to sort out issues. His background was as a BBC TV news reporter and he also served as an army reservist infantry officer, conducting a tour of duty in Afghanistan in 2009.

Olivia grew up in Otley, West Yorkshire and studied Biomedical Science at the University of Sheffield. She was a Sheffield City Councillor from 2014 until 2020, before she became MP for Sheffield Hallam. Olivia has previously served as both Shadow Minister for Climate Change and Shadow Minister for Nature, Water and Flooding. In the run-up to COP 26 she launched a series of monthly climate assemblies in her local constituency, from which she created the Hallam Citizen’s Climate Manifesto. She also introduced The Climate and Ecology Bill in May 2023 under the Ten Minute Rule procedure in the House of Commons, seeking to establish binding ‘climate and nature targets’ in the UK. In 2023 she won the Climate Coalition’s Green Heart Hero Award as MP Constituency Champion “for her work to create a greener, more climate friendly Sheffield”.
