OUR MP

Robert Courts is a former lawyer and currently Solicitor General for England and Wales. He is a member of the Conservative Environment Network but we are frustrated that he always votes with the government for climate delaying policies and against scientifically understood truth. We believe this means he’s right on board with the catastrophic collapse of Great Britain inc. and civilisation itself.

Our Group

Robert Courts Watch launched in July 2022 on the hottest day yet recorded in Britain. Since then, we’ve more or less worked out how to campaign. Our steering group is warm and friendly and you’d be more than welcome to join. We do all the usual stuff – vigils, stalls, a letter-writing rota, a sandwich board man, MP surgeries & local radio.

Robert Courts is aware of us and his opinions have shifted considerably, though not yet his votes in parliament.

Robert Courts Watch was instigated in Witney by a local vicar, a retired vet and a retired health visitor who were disappointed with their MP’s complacency over the government’s record on Net Zero following meetings at which their expressions of concern received unimpressive responses.

Whilst not officially allied to the hard-line denialist group of backbenchers, the Net Zero Scrutiny Group, or the Global Warming Policy Foundation, Robert Courts is allied with, and a contributor to another Tufton Street ‘think tank’ Global Vision, which deny ‘global average air temperatures have changed over the last 30 years’
